The Warriors got a little more clarity Tuesday on who can fill out their final roster spot.
After working out with Golden State, a reunion with guard Quinn Cook is no longer in the cards, as the former Warrior and 2018 NBA Champion inked a non-guaranteed deal with the Portland Trail Blazers.

That hasn’t stopped the team from essentially trying out several free agent point guards over the past month. The latest guard to be linked to the Warriors is Isaiah Thomas, as Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reported early Thursday morning.

According to The Athletic’s Anthony Slater, Golden State will work out former Villanova and Chicago Bull guard Ryan Arcidiacono this week, still in search of a potential backcourt reserve.

Bob Myers mentioned it in a media availability a few weeks ago and looking a the roster it would make sense that the Warriors could use another “ball-handling guard”, as Myers put it, especially in the event that Stephen Curry or Jordan Poole miss some time on the court.

Just a little over a week ago, Warriors GM Bob Myers mentioned the team’s need for a guard during media availability.
So it isn’t shocking that the Warriors are planning to work out retired, 34-year old point guard Darren Collison, according to a report from Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes.
