Warriors and Otto Porter Jr. Agree to deal at the Veteran Minimum
Following hours of silence after the official opening of the Free Agency period, the Golden State Warriors are finally on the board as they came to agreement with Otto Porter Jr. on a veteran minimum deal.
Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports broke then news first on Monday night. Haynes also noted that the former member of the Orlando Magic had turned down midlevel exception offers elsewhere and opted to join Golden State at the minimum.

Porter Jr. has been banged up over the last few seasons playing 28 games last year for the Bulls and Magic and only 14 games the year prior with Chicago.
However, when on the floor he has been a very good player. The former member of the Orlando Magic averaged 14ppg in the 2018-2019 season and is a career 40.2 percent three point shooter. At 28 years old the small forward should have plenty more basketball left in him should he be able to stay healthy.
At the veteran minimum if Porter Jr. is able to produce as he is capable of then he is a steal for the Warriors. This move from Warriors General Manager Bob Myers and company has low risk/high reward written all over it.
Golden State still has the taxpayer midlevel exception that they can use on a free agent so the shopping will certainly not stop in San Francisco.
Some free agent names that are still on the board and that have been tied to the Warriors are Patty Mills and former Warrior and beloved figure around these parts, Andre Iguodala.
