Steph Curry celebrated his historical night with Kevin Durant, among others, in NYC
The entire world was watching in on Stephen Curry as he broke the record for most made three-point shots in NBA history on Tuesday night at the Mecca of hoops, Madison Square Garden, and home to the New York Knicks.
It was an emotional night for Curry and basketball fans for sure, and the few weeks of anticipation leading up to the big night was nerve-racking, to say the least. So after the game wrapped up, naturally, Curry and company went out and partied until the wee hours of the night, according to the New York Post. Former teammate and current New York resident, Kevin Durant, joined Curry, Andre Iguodala, Dell Curry, and more at Catch Steak in Manhatten to celebrate the former back-to-back MVP’s recent accomplishment.
The NY Post detailed that Curry didn’t leave the venue until around 5:30 in the morning.
A well-deserved night out for the greatest point guard to touch the rock.
Also, very cool of Durant to show up and show love to Steph.
Not long after the party had ended Durant hilariously tweeted out “Send the Rollie” from his Twitter account after news broke that Curry gifted Iguodala, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson with engraved Rolex watches. He quote tweeted a stat that showed he had the third most assists for Curry threes.
It sounded like it was a pretty special celebratory night following the long-awaited passing of Ray Allen’s three-point record, which can now be called Curry’s record.
Following the game, Curry said that he never felt comfortable calling himself the greatest shooter of all time, but finished that off by saying, “I’m comfortable saying it now.”
Curry currently sits on the top of the board at 2977 made three-pointers. The next milestone, 3000, could come very soon.
