Draymond and Steph tease Klay about not making NBA's top-75 list
Klay Thompson has not been shy about expressing his level of disappointment, to put it kindly, about not making the NBA’s 75th-anniversary team.
He’s been very outward about his disapproval of being snubbed from the list, and rightfully so. Thompson is a three-time NBA champion, and arguably the second-best shooter in league history. His list of records and accolades could go on and on.
Teammates Draymond Green and Stephen Curry took a playful jab at Thompson on Saturday evening regarding his recent public rants regarding his issue with the list. Green posted an Instagram story hilariously showing a number 77 Thompson jersey hanging from his locker at Chase Center with a tag that read, “Laugh a little @KlayThomspon”. Green panned the camera to Curry who was laughing uncontrollably at the sight.
The jersey number, 77, signifying Klay may have been the 77th greatest player of all time. One would also have to assume that they didn’t give Thompson the number 76 because Draymond would likely be filling that spot. You gotta love it.
All of this was done in good fun, obviously, as both Green and Curry recently showed support for Thompson by posting to social media expressing that they agreed that the five-time all-star was snubbed on the NBA’s list.
Just another reason to love the Warriors. You can always count on one of them to keep us all entertained on non-game days.
