Brown Could Ride Nigeria to Head Coach Gig 

The American men are not off to the start they wanted, losing both of their opening exhibition games to Nigeria and Australia before salvaging a victory Tuesday against Argentina.

And in their first loss, the Warrior coaching staff was under the microscope – but it was not on US assistant coach Steve Kerr. Rather, it was on a coach with NBA Finals experience in Golden State and Cleveland, Warriors associate head coach and Nigeria men’s basketball head coach Mike Brown.

Back-to-Back Champs Will Reunite in Quest for Gold

Winning three titles with the Bulls and a pair of championships with the Spurs, Steve Kerr ended his playing days with five rings. Draymond Green and Kevin Durant have combined for five rings as well, earning the jewelry with the Warriors.

And starting in July, the Warriors coach and forward will be reunited with the two-time NBA Finals MVP, but for them, the five rings in play won’t be diamond-studded – they’ll be the five Olympic rings.
