On Nov. 14, Warriors’ superstar Stephen Curry joined NBA history forever, claiming the spot as the greatest shooter the game has ever seen.

A burden that was hanging over Curry’s head for nearly a week, it seemed like there were different narratives with each game.

Will he break two records versus the Blazers? Will he drop 10 threes versus his brother in the City of Brotherly Love? Will he break the record in Reggie Miller’s house in Indiana? Or will it happen in Madison Square Garden – The Mecca of Basketball?

Stephen Curry Breaks Regular-Season Three Point Record

Tonight is a historic night. With his first and second threes of the night, Stephen Curry has officially surpassed Ray Allen’s long-standing three-point record for the regular season. The previous record, held by Allen at 2,973 triples over his career, now belongs to Steph who should keep it ever-climbing until his retirement.

Ray Allen Sounds Off on the "Greatest Shooter" Debate

Sometimes, old heads just can’t let things go. Last night, NBA great Ray Allen went on the Dan Patrick Show on Fox Sports radio to make his thoughts known on the current debate surrounding Stephen Curry being the greatest shooter of all time. Allen, as he did mid-season last year when he called Reggie Miller greater than Steph, had a lot to say on the matter:

Ray Allen has high praise for Steph

Hall-of-Famer sharpshooter Ray Allen recently gave Stephen Curry some high praise.

“People have compared himself to myself and to Reggie [Miller] and to other great past shooters in the NBA. But he really […] he really operates somewhat in a lane of his own,” Allen said.

Allen is right. Curry is one-of-a-kind. Warriors’ commentator Bob Fitzgerald always jokes about how opponents must guard Curry when he enters the parking lot, but he’s not wrong. You can never relax when Curry is on the floor.

Curry passes Ray Allen in all-time threes made with ease

The two-time MVP hit another milestone the other night on route to dropping forty points in a blowout victory versus the Bulls. Curry became the leader in all-time three-pointers made, including the playoffs with 3,366. The former number one spot belonged to Ray Allen with 3,358, but Curry passed that with ease and in 585 fewer games played than Allen.
