Draymond Green and Steph Curry Have a Bet Going for March Madness
The Big Dance kicks off tomorrow and a couple of Warriors will have their former schools face off in a first round matchup. Draymond Green’s #7 Michigan State Spartans will be playing Stephen Curry’s #10 Davidson Wildcats on Friday at 4:30 PM ET on TBS. It’s only right that the two have a friendly wager on the outcome of the game.
According to Draymond Green’s podcast, Curry will have to wear a full Sparty mascot suit into a game (along with putting up some cash to Draymond) if Michigan State can pull out the victory. Who doesn’t want to see that?
It wasn’t explained though what would happen to Draymond Green if Davidson comes out victorious and I do have the Wildcats pulling off the upset in my March Madness bracket. If you haven’t had a chance to watch them, Bob McKillop (Curry’s former college coach) has an absolute star in Hyunjung Lee. The 6’ 7” junior G/F was recently named a finalist for the Julius Erving Small Forward of the Year award.
Worth a note: There is an advantage in favor of Curry’s Wildcats as they will be playing in Greenville, South Carolina which is one state over from Davidson, North Carolina. The home crowd plays a massive factor in the NCAA Tournament.
