Draymond Green Facing "Disciplinary Action" For Practice Altercation

It was reported by The Athletic’s Anthony Slater, Marcus Thompson II, and Shams Charania today that during Warriors practice, Draymond Green was involved in a physical altercation with Jordan Poole. Per the report, the team is considering “disciplinary action” for Green, who allegedly escalated the situation when he “forcefully struck” Poole.

At this time, there are details which have yet to be released, but it would be hard to make any well-backed assumptions given the history these two have. Both Green and Poole are passionate players who have the desire to win, and they had an interaction last season which was quickly dismissed by both as just a heat-of-the-moment happening during a close game:

Given this initial discussion between them, it’s possible that Green and Poole’s interaction stemmed from a similarly-minded encounter, and that while it may have turned physical, a lack of facts surrounding the encounter make it difficult to discern what’s actually happening.
