Draymond Green destroys Karl-Anthony Towns on Instagram
On Monday afternoon the popular social media account HouseOfHighlights posted a clip of famous Twitch streamer, Adin Ross, and Minnesota Timberwolves center, Karl-Anthony Towns, having a chat about stat chasing among other things.
Towns was talking to Ross about how he could care less about his stats, and that he was more concerned with winning games. The streamer, most popular for playing NBA 2K, asked KAT if he thought Los Angeles Lakers point guard Russell Westbrook was a stat chaser. KAT, after a short pause, responded with, “He definitely gets stats, he chasing stats.” He then quickly backtracked by mentioning how hard it is to get triple-doubles, only to follow with, “I just think that sometimes he plays too quick, like he tries to do too much.”
Enter Draymond Green.
The rarely bashful Green quickly commented on the post, giving his input on the matter. “I once watched from the bench due to us beating the Twolves ass and he(Towns) was in the game down 20 with 2 mins to go. Come on man. Stop talking to people about the “bros” and yelling this is a “brotherhood”. SMH”
Whether or not Towns had a point regarding Westbrook being a stat padder, which I think most people can agree with, Draymond’s frustration here was likely due to Towns putting down a fellow colleague in an arena outside of the game, while talking to a non-NBA player. The sentiment from Towns just didn’t sit well with the former defensive player of the year award recipient, and in true Draymond fashion, he hilariously and bluntly spoke up about it.
UPDATE:
Towns has responded to Green’s comments. You can watch his full comments in the video below.
