(Video) Klay Thompson is officially in China and is in full China Klay form
Klay Thompson arrived in Shanghai yesterday for his annual China tour promoting Chinese sportswear brand Anta and debuting the fifth installment of his signature shoe, the KT5.
Thompson wasted no time flipping the switch to his alter ego, China Klay, as he was seen holding a Patrick Star doll tightly as he was greeting fans at Shanghai Airport. The doll is a cartoon character in the popular animated television series SpongeBob SquarePants. There was a viral meme of a Klay Thompson version of the character that made it’s rounds on the internet and Klay, obviously, embraced it quite literally.

Thompson signed a 10-year, $80 million extension with the sportswear brand in the summer of 2017. It’s safe to say we’ll be seeing more of China Klay in the coming years.
