Steve Kerr set to discuss gun violence in town hall along with U.S. Rep. Ro Khanna and local High School students
Warriors Head Coach Steve Kerr is set to be part of a town hall discussion on gun violence this Monday at Newark Memorial High School in Newark, CA.
Kerr has been very outspoken about gun violence over the years, most recently following the horrendous school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida. During a pre-game press conference Kerr was asked about the tragic shooting. His answer carried tones of sadness mixed along with great frustration that more measures are not being taken to prevent future acts of gun violence.
When Kerr was only 18-years old his father was assassinated by two armed men outside of his office at the American University of Beirut.
Needless to say Kerr has personally felt the effects of gun violence which makes his words carry even more weight than they already do.
