The deal gives the Warriors a sense of security by taking care of their biggest star who has not shown any bit of his age as he hits the latter years of his thirties. Curry averaged 26.4 points per game last season and was named an all-star and to an All-NBA team for the tenth time in his career. He followed up the 2023-24 NBA campaign with unforgettable performances for Team U.S.A. in the Olympics.

Much was made of the Warriors' perplexing offseason, with mixed reviews from NBA analysts. General Manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. did a solid job building the depth of the Warriors roster by signing sufficient role players who can be contributors such as Buddy Hield, Kyle Anderson, and De’Anthony Melton. However, they failed to pair Curry with another star following the departure of longtime running mate Klay Thompson.

Extending Curry increases Steph's chance to spend his entire career as a Warrior. Golden State’s next goal will be to create the core of championship-contending teams to maximize the prime of Curry’s final years of his career.
