Nemanja Bjelica has agreed to sign a one-year deal with the Golden State Warriors early Tuesday morning according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The 33 year old Serbian power forward played for the Sacramento Kings last season before he was traded to the Miami Heat at the trade deadline in March. He only played 11 games for Miami with averages of 5ppg on 37 percent shooting from behind the arc in that small samples size.

Bjelica had his best year while playing for the Kings as recent as the 2019-2020 season where he appeared in 72 games starting in 67 of them. He went on to average 11.5ppg and 6.4rpg while shooting nearly 42 percent from deep.

If the 6’ 10” forward can find his shooting stroke with Golden State he will have proven to have been a good signing at the minimum as he will have the ability to stretch the floor out which could really help the Warriors offense run at a high level.

Golden State still has to their disposal the taxpayer mid level exception to use in free agency so they are still on the hunt for help. Patty Mills, Andre Iguodala and Paul Millsap are names that the Warriors have been tied to recently.
