Continue to Be Patient With James Wiseman’s Development

I noticed how quiet fans were about getting rid of James Wiseman after his spectacular first half in the win over the Bucks a few nights ago. The rook had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds once the halftime buzzer went off and all the haters went silent. I wonder how much the now 20 year old was motivated by the negativity he received from talking on a daily basis with former Dub, Kevin Durant, as well.

Grow up. NBA players on opposing teams can be friends with each other off the court. No need to throw shade at him for that.

Anyways, if you aren’t one of the fans that have been pushing to ship Wiseman out of town and are one of the fans who continue to be forbearing with the young man’s growth… please keep it that way. The rookie basically didn’t play in college or the summer league before he had to jump on the court with the best in the world. Plus, the Warriors have had a messy year with a lot of background noise from the media and fans. Wiseman has never had to deal with that before in his young basketball career. No rookie should have that much pressure on him.

I’ve seen flashes from the big man that makes me just get so excited for the future. Even from Tuesday night, he was cutting hard to the rim, being aggressive on the boards, protecting the rim. Once he perfects that hook shot of his and can add a consistent jumper to his game, James Wiseman will be one of the best players in the league. Yea, I said it. The tools are there, the coaching staff just needs to tune it up and I know they are more than capable of doing that.

He is a special talent that will become a star for this Golden State franchise as long as fans are patient. Wait and you will be rewarded.
